Starting a Course

Starting a course is easy. No previous experience is necessary. . During the lesson the student also benefits from an introduction to a general knowledge of music, theory of music notions, aural training, music appreciation and the different styles of music. Musical games are a very important part of each lesson at WEST WICKHAM MUSIC TUITION. Our students can choose between different styles of music such as: Classical, Pop, Jazz, Folk etc.

Lesson Times

ALL our lessons are individual (one to one)

Individual lessons for children are for 30 minutes once a week.

Individual lessons for adults are for 45 minutes once a week

From grade 2 onwards 45 min lessons are recommended.

For Grade 6, 7 and 8 - one hour lesson.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All lessons are provided on a School term basis. We usually teach during autumn and spring half terms. There is no teaching during summer half term.
There will be a minimum of 12 weekly lessons each term.

Fees for tuition are payable for minimum 4 lessons in advance.

Pupils will only be accepted for a minimum of 2 terms although the teacher may advise cessation of lessons after one term if the pupil is not making satisfactory progress.

Failure to give at least 48 hour notice in case of cancellation (including cancellation due to adverse weather conditions or due to sickness) will lead to a full lesson's fee being charged.

If you/your child wishe/s to discontinue lessons, notice must be given to the teacher 5 weeks (lessons) in advance. Failure to follow this procedure will result in a term's fee (12 lessons) being charged in lieu of notice.

Two consecutive missed lessons will result in you or your child being asked to leave the school. Special conditions apply for serious illness, surgery or pregnancy and you should communicate it to your teacher well in advance.

We reserve the right to make amendments.

If lessons cease before the end of the term or any conditions are breached then no money will be refunded.

Please advise the school if you are changing your address or phone number.

Parents are more than welcome to sit in on their child's lessons although it is found that children tend to progress quicker and concentrate much better if their parents are not in attendance.

Failure to abide by these terms and conditions will result in you or your child being asked to cease lessons and leave the school, at such time all monies will be non-refundable.
